Each year, the North Iowa Builders Exchange offers an educational scholarship opportunity to high school seniors and undergraduates who are pursuing a career in the building and trades field. Congratulations to the 2021 NIBE Scholarship award recipients!
- Isaiah Byrkeland, a 2021 graduate of Bishop Garrigan High School in Algona, will pursue carpentry studies at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge with a goal of being a professional finish carpenter.
- Bryce Paulson is a graduate of Northwood Kensett High School and is interested in home renovation and construction. His goal is to own his own construction business someday and is currently employed by Butler Construction. He will continue his studies at NIACC.
- Stephen Washington is currently enrolled in the building trades program at NIACC and he plans to complete his studies before securing employment with an independent contractor to continue learning on the job. His interest area is carpentry.
